Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the Florida panhandle as they assess the horrific damage and begin putting their lives back together after Hurricane Michael. We are confident that the resilient people of this area, along with help that will be pouring in, will repair, rebuild and eventually restore the area to once again welcome visitors to enjoy the beautiful "Forgotten Coast". As the organizers of Plein Air South, we will follow them as restoration efforts begin and will keep you posted regarding the progression of plans for our 2019 gathering.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is included in my registration fee?

Your registration fee includes 5 days of inspiration, instruction, and painting alongside the best faculty and artists we could gather! We also provide continental breakfasts each day, lunches, and two dinners during the event.

2. Where do we stay?

There are many options in the Port St. Joe area. Please check the "Lodging" tab in the menu for some suggestions.

3. Do I need my painting materials?

Yes! There are times where you are given a chance to paint along with the faculty and also some free time to paint on your own.

4. When should I arrive?

This year, we are starting one day early so that there will be some painting time for the attendees in the area. We will have a field painting day on Sunday, May 12th in Port St. Joe area for attendees to paint with several faculty members there to offer painting advice as you paint!  Also, the Forgotten Coast en Plein Air event will be having events on Saturday (free) and Sunday (free) in Apalachicola at the wet room, along with the Gala (ticket price $100) for that event to be held on Saturday, May 11th in Apalachicola. We are encouraging PAS attendees to come into town early to enjoy these events along with get some painting time before our faculty demonstrations and information sessions begin on Monday!

5. Will there be a daily rate for registration this year?

At this point, no. We need full registrants in order to have a successful event and keep the event with the "intimate" feel that so many people talk about after coming to one. If there are spaces available as we near the event, we will consider adding a daily rate feature, but the full registrants will get first choice in spots available.

6. I have a question that isn't answered here?
