Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the Florida panhandle as they assess the horrific damage and begin putting their lives back together after Hurricane Michael. We are confident that the resilient people of this area, along with help that will be pouring in, will repair, rebuild and eventually restore the area to once again welcome visitors to enjoy the beautiful "Forgotten Coast". As the organizers of Plein Air South, we will follow them as restoration efforts begin and will keep you posted regarding the progression of plans for our 2019 gathering.

Plein Air organizations and painting groups across the South are coming together to host the fourth "Plein Air South" regional gathering, May 12-16, 2019 in Port St. Joe, Florida. The planning committee is hard at work scheduling 5 days of presentations, demonstrations, instruction, vendor exhibition, and of course, painting outdoors!

Many organizations, artists, and vendors are working together to make this event happen. We are thankful to the Gulf County Tourism, Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, Visit Florida and the Forgotten Coast Cultural Coalition for their commitment to continue this annual gathering of the Southeastern plein air community. Also thanks to JFM Enterprises, EdgePro Gear, Michael Harding Paints and Rosemary Brushes for their continued commitment to help make our event great for everyone!

We’ve added an extra day to PAS 2019 for you to paint with the masters on Sunday morning, May 12, in Port St. Joe, FL !!! We suggest that you arrive on Friday, May 10th or Saturday, May 11, and you can attend the final free events of the Forgotten Coast en Plein Air event as well as attend the FCenPA Gala Saturday night in Apalachicola (Gala cost applied to the purchase of a painting). Stay tuned for more details to come!!
